Summer 2025

Summer of 2025

A few glimpses of our farmlife this season.

It has been a very rainy June causing part of harvest to get delayed. Lucikly, July came with some awesome and greatly needed sunshine and we rounded up the first harvest of grass with some nice, dry hay. In between barnwork and fieldwork we have also put in a bit of gardening… the weeds just keep comin’ unfortunately.

Much more fun to watch the cows than to do weeding, that is for sure.

This annual actually originates from my grandmother’s garden.

Weeds partially under control for a while…

This bush have been in the farm garden for ever…. It shows in really old pictures… so kinda the oldest, nicest bush around. Skogskjegg is the name in Norwegian.

The cows on the first day outside for the season! Feeling jumpy and great!

Following: The farmers at work!

Have a great summer!

Love from here to there!

Farm changes with time, and running a farm is about keeping, maintaining and evolving…

A few pictures of the Vaag farmhouses, from around 1960ish

Skipping to the 1980s:

And skipping further to about 2010. Still a work in progress…

The farm is still evolving… and there have been quite a few changes since 2010, and I hope we will be able to keep on developing the farm and land my grandfather bought in 1952.

Uuuups!

Working on a farm includes plenty of memorable moments!

Somethimes tractors and their chaffeurs need rescuing, and these operations, well….. enjoy the show! Here are a few glimpses of what could be seen as the downside of farming.

Farming is fun! Tractors are fun, and sometimes playing in the dirt is not as much fun as one would think…

Velkommen til verden, lille venn!
Kviger på sommerferie.
Enda flere kviger på sommerferie.
Mor og sønn i kveldssola
Kul, kulere, kulest!
Vakker dame i kveldssol.

Desember i Ytre Namdal

Når solnedgangen setter inn tidlig på ettermidaggen er det verdt å ta en pust i bakken og bare nyte roa og det vakre lyset.

Desember i Ytre Namdal kan være villvær men også blankstille og terapi for sjela.

Just good lookin’ Scottish Highlanders!

A small series of photos of the part of our herd living outside year round.

Iris, Juni, Nigne, Olivia, Otelie, Pia, Rolf, Quart, Tomine, Tobias, Truls and Tix leading up to the latter part of 2023.

Sometimes just being behind is totally all right!

Spring is FINALLY here!

The birds are singing, the plants are waking up and starting to grow, and the sweeet smells of Spring is comin’ around the corner!
